After a day in Greenville, it was time to turn what was once a dream into reality: seeing the Blue Ridge Mountains in the fall.
The fastest route from Greenville to Asheville, North Carolina is a 63 mile, one hour drive on highway 25 and Interstate 26. However, there is a meandering scenic route recommended by Wikivoyage. This route takes highway 276 before turning onto the Blue Ridge Parkway.
The first sight of note is an overlook at the Bald Rock Heritage Preserve, in the community of Cleveland, South Carolina.

This is the last sight of note until crossing into North Carolina. The only real town of note on this entire drive is Brevard, which has a quaint Main street and is a good stop to eat or use the restroom.
After crossing into North Carolina, is a breathtaking 60 foot waterfall that goes by the name of Looking Glass Falls.
