After taking a train from Bergen to Voss and a bus from Voss to Gundvagen, it was time for the highlight of not just the Norway in a Nutshell itinerary, but Norway itself: Fjords.
In Gundvagen, there is a boat that goes through Nærøyfjord. What makes this boat fascinating is that it is fully electric. Aside from its environmental benefits, having virtually no noise while gliding through natural beauty is indescribably peaceful.
The views are simply astonishing.

There is an occasional village.

And an occasional waterfall.

But mostly just majestic views of the water surrounded by mountains.

The boat ride is two hours, but it never feels long, as the views never get old. It ends in the village of Flåm, where one takes the Flåm
railway. That is for the next post.
